Mission Statement

Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE), a non-profit organization, was founded in Spring 2001 to promote equal opportunity for women and girls in science and engineering and improve their scientific and career advancement. WiSE encourages the participation of all science/engineering undergraduates, graduates, researchers, faculty, and professionals in the Santa Barbara area.

Summer Mentors Needed

CSEP/CNSI are currently looking for mentors for the Summer Institute in Math & Science (SIMS).  This program is only 2 weeks long for incoming freshman.  Mentors will have 4 interns with them in lab for 4 afternoons, and will help them communicate their lab findings.  Please email Kari Moran (klukes@engineering.ucsb.edu) for information.  http://csep.cnsi.ucsb.edu/undergrad/sims
